QuickScript FAQs

A: No. QuickScript is only for repeat prescriptions for existing patients. If you need a new prescription or are a new patient, you must book an appointment with one of our doctors or use the QuickSpot service.

Prescriptions are issued in your name only. If you want us to send it to a pharmacy, you must provide the correct pharmacy details in the form.

Yes. When you fill out QuickScript, you can add the email address of your pharmacy. We will send the prescription to both you and the pharmacy.

Most prescriptions are processed within 48 working hours after payment. This may take longer.

A: We will email it to you (and your pharmacy).

A: You can still email us your request. We will send our banking details, but your prescription will only be processed once payment reflects in our account. This will take longer.

A: For new skin problems, please use our QuickSpot service. It gives you a diagnosis and prescription within 48 working hours without waiting months to see a dermatologist.

A: Please mark your request as urgent in the notes, or call us once you have submitted. We will do our best, but standard turnaround is within 48 working hours.

A: The R299 is for the QuickScript service. We send you an invoice with the correct tariff code via email with your script so you can claim it back from your medical aid. If your medical aid does not pay, you will still be responsible for the fee.

A: In this case, you will need to book an appointment. QuickScript is only for repeat prescriptions of medication already prescribed to you.

A: Only existing patients who need a repeat prescription. New patients need to book an appointment.

A: We get 100–200 requests every month. The old system could not cope, and mistakes were happening. Prescriptions were lost, and patients felt ignored. QuickScript makes the process faster and safer. The fee of R299 helps us run the system, but we keep it as low as possible.

A: This fee covers the cost of moving online and helps us give you a quicker service. It is less than what some GP practices charge. We aim to keep it fair while giving you the best care.

A: No. Your first prescription is part of your consultation. You only pay for repeat prescriptions.
