Can I claim back from my Medical Aid?
Yes. Both Derma Clinic, and Dr Orrey’s rooms are cash practices, meaning you
will have to pay after your consultation and then claim back from your medical
How accurate is the diagnosis?
A Quick Spot is about 90% as accurate as a face-to-face consolation with your dermatologist. If Dr Orrey has any doubts about your skin condition, she will contact you directly for more information or to set up a face-to-face consolation at her rooms
What can a Quick Spot Consultation not do?
Please note that a Quick Spot Consultation does not replace your general skin
checkup with your dermatologist. Dr Orrey will only be able to respond to ONE
skin query that you have. Please refer to your dermatologist for multiple spots
What conditions should rather wait for a face to face consultation with a
Extensive eczema or psoriasis involving the whole body
Any acutely ill patient (such as patients who have fever, joint pains, muscle aches) should rather see their General Practitioner.
Patients with weeping and crusted sores, especially if associated with fever, should be seen by their GP urgently.
Patients with boils should see their GP for acute management.
Any patient who needs a check-up after skin cancer diagnosis.
